Schedule

Here's what to expect on our wedding weekend: We have pre-booked campsites that the wedding party are staying at Friday through Sunday, with Saturday being the day of the wedding. Those that are in the wedding party are welcome to use these campsites. If anyone outside of the wedding party wants to camp with us, you are welcome to reserve a campsite. Reservations can be made at: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/273781 A map of the area can be found Our wedding will be on the lake shore, and after the ceremony we will have a taco bar as well as some customary dancing. The afterparty will be a s'mores under the starlights theme at the pre-described reserved campsites. Below is a further timeline of specifics.

Camping: July 10-12

Camping Reservations to be made. Each party is required to supply their own camp gear.

If you want to camp out July 10-12 with the wedding party (who will be having a wedding rehearsal) , book through the website link listed below: Recreation.gov Make an account, search Lake Russell Recreation. We have reserved sites 32-35 for July 10-12.. try to reserve spots around that. You will need to bring: -Tent -sleeping bags/cot/blow up mattress/etc -tarps -clothes -blankets/pillows -any other necessary essentials

Rehearsal

4:00 pm

*If you're not part of rehearsal group, disregard*

We will be rehearsing at 4pm. If you are camping out on that day with us, please note that we will not be available between 4-6pm. There are a plethora of nature-based activities and cute local spots that are linked under the "Things to do" tab

Early Comers

11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Enjoy the Summer Day Before Our Big Day!

Bring your bathing suits and sunscreen! There will be a number of people camping out the night before. We will be making breakfast and enjoying the awesome nature that surrounds Lake Russell. -Nancytown trail, creek and waterfall -Lake Russell Beach -Downtown Cornelia and its cutesy cafes -Downtown Clarkesville and its cutesy stores Swimming, hiking, meandering, fishing, site-seeing, options to kayak and float, yard games, etc. Come and join to help save our spot and make some memories!

Ceremony

4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Attire

Dress casual and comfortable. If you want to feel extra fancy- wear your most favoritest Hawaiian shirt :) barefoot and happy is our way- feel free to wear cool hats, or a spunky pair of sunglasses. Be you, because we love you.

Taco Bar/Reception at Upper Picnic Area

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Catered by the lovely Connie of Lake Burton--- tacos and mocktails will be served to enjoy at 5pm. After eating, meandering and enjoying each others company traditional first dances will be had as the sun sets. Dancing is encouraged, cake will be cut and goodbyes will be shared.

S'mores Under the Stars

8:30 pm

After the reception, those that are camping or wish to stay for the after party will be shuttled to the Smores under the stars. We will be having a campfire, s'mores and more up at our reserved campsites. Those that are camping out will sleep there over night- everyone else will go home after final goodbyes are had. Thank you for celebrating the union of our marriage!
