We're Getting married!

We met through our mutual friend, Leslie, playing soccer. She had been trying to have us meet for months, but the timing just never seemed to work out. Then, the law office which Ben and Leslie worked for at the time, put together a co-ed soccer team and were in need of some extra girls. Leslie, still trying to be the matchmaker and knowing Heather played soccer at Clemson, figured she would be the perfect ace in the hole for the team. Obviously, Heather said yes to playing and the rest is history! Funny enough, Leslie wasn't able to make the first few soccer games. She'd secretly told each of us about each other, and we hit it off anyway. Thanks Leslie!

After 6 years of waiting, oops, I mean dating, Ben proposed at the top of the mountain in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We were there on a family ski trip for Heather's birthday, and on the last run of the day, Ben suggested we stop and get drinks at our favorite spot on the mountain, Four Points Lodge. As we took our skis off and walked around to the front of the lodge, Ben got down on one knee and popped the question. A few friends were secretly waiting at the top along with Heather's parents for the big surprise. After the proposal, we all skied down the mountain, where more friends were waiting at the bottom with drinks to celebrate. Heather had no idea any of our friends had flown in to celebrate. Definitely a trip to remember!
