Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

Your Invitation will come with a QR code linked to our Wedding Website where you can reply. Please, kindly RSVP by August 9th, 2025 by using the QR code on your invitation.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you find out you are unable to attend after you have sent your RSVP, please notify Heather or Bart.

Can I bring a Plus One/Guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If your guest name is listed on your invite and when you RSVP, then yes. Otherwise, we would like to keep the Wedding as an intimate event with family and close friends. Thank you for understanding.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a “night out” for yourself.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is Dressy Casual. Dress up slightly beyond your everyday casual clothes, but not as formal as black-tie. No Jeans Please! The ceremony will be outdoors in a grassy area. Ladies, please take this into account when choosing heels.

Are there any Colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the Bride: Whites, Ivories and Creams.

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

All of my beautiful bridesmaids will be wearing Fall colors.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin punctually at 3:30 in the evening. We ask that you arrive and be in your seat no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony starts, no later than 3:15 PM. You may arrive earlier than 15 minutes and it will give you time to park and find your seat. If you arrive after the ceremony has already started, we kindly ask that you do not interrupt the ceremony.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, as the sun will be shining (hopefully) the ceremony will be outside. Please make sure to dress appropriately. However, the reception will be held inside the barn.

Where should I sit?

Answer

The first rows of seating at our Ceremony will be Reserved for immediate Family of the Bride & Groom but all others are open seating. For the Reception please note there will be Reserved tables for the Bridal Party along with Reserved tables for immediate Family. All other seating will be open, no seating charts.

Can I take photos during the Ceremony?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged ceremony” (no phones or cameras) with the exception of some videoing. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do”, we have hired a photographer to capture this moment for us. We promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!

Can I share pictures of your big day on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not share any photos on social media of the wedding until either Heather or Bart has had the chance to do so first. We will be providing a QR Code for you to upload photos to as well.

Where do I park?

Answer

Our venue offers parking on the side of the reception barn. This will be easy to see, no worries you won’t miss it!

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We will be serving a charcuterie board spread at cocktail hour, followed by a buffet style BBQ dinner. And of course we will have Desserts!

Will there be an Open Bar?

Answer

We will offer an Open Bar for the Cocktail Hour then have a CASH Bar during the Reception hours of 5:15-9:15pm. This will be a beer and wine bar. There will also be other non-alcoholic beverages as well. We ask that you be patient and respect our bartender.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

The greatest gift of all is your presence on our special day! However, should you wish to offer a gift, a wedding card can be dropped in the card box at the reception. We also have a Registry tab on our Website. We plan to use anything given to us towards a Honeymoon/Household Fund. Thank You!

Answer

Nashville Hotels/Inns: Brown County Inn Abe Martin Lodge & Cabins The Seasons Lodge *There are also Cabins & Airbnbs close to our Wedding Venue* *Columbus, Indiana also has a lot more Hotels and Airbnbs to keep in mind as well*
