Swipe right or left? The one question that ultimately determined our destiny. Yep, you guessed it - we met on an online dating site. Picture this: two introverts trying to find a way to put themselves out there and find the perfect match. The profiles only revealed so much, and according to Austin, it is not easy to be flirty and charming while you're online. So it was decided, we would meet. On February 17, 2018, I used a sketched up screen shot of a map of the Woodlands Waterway (see photo at bottom) that led me to the place Austin would be waiting. And the rest is history. Needless to say, we have both become firm believers of online dating!

It was a girl's weekend in Fredericksburg. Little did I know, it would be so much more than that! My best friend, her mother, and I were hiking our way up Enchanted Rock on a beautiful evening as the sun was beginning to set. All the while, Austin was sneakily hiking (more like running) up the rock to beat us to the spot where he would pop the question. As we reached the top, my friend kept inquiring about certain area with two sister rocks that made for good pictures. I started to head in that direction, and before I knew it, I was shocked to find Austin standing about 10 feet away from me with the biggest grin on his face. Stunned, all I could manage to get out was, "What are you doing here?". He got down on one knee and that day, July 19, 2020, became the best day of my life!
