We're Getting Married!

We joke that Heather met Tyler's dog, Bella, before she ever met him, but in reality, it is very true. Early freshman year of college, Tyler brought his dog on campus to "meet new people." Tyler had lots of friends who lived in Heather's dorm, so he often spent most of his free time there. Naturally, Heather's attention is drawn to any dog she sees, so she went to meet sweet Bella and simply said hi to Tyler as courtesy of being the dog owner. It was not until months later during the spring semester of freshman year that we actually became friends, and Tyler became more than "the boy with the cute dog." We spent time becoming friends and realized we had a lot in common. Eventually on April 13th, 2019 we had our first date. We have become best friends ever since, enjoying life alongside one another. Tyler proposed on February 27, 2021 in the chapel at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. We are overjoyed by the grace of God to be able to become one in marriage and to be able to share this special day with our friends and family.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are overjoyed to be joined in marriage as one. While we are excited to start this journey of life together, we want to recognize the beautiful design of marriage that God the Father has given us. We can look to the representation of Christ with the church and the sacrifice He made for us on the Cross along with the hope we have in the empty tomb. Christ's steadfast love for us is the perfect example and target for love that we hope to give each other. While we recognize this is a celebration of our marriage, more importantly we realize that this is a union through which we can pursue Christ together. We believe that more than making each other happy, marriage is a means through which we can glorify the Lord in how we love each other and how we love those around us. We desire to make the Lord the center of our focus and lives, serving Him wherever He calls us in life. If this is something you would like to know more about, we would love to speak with you.
