We’re getting married!

Heather and Fabian met at a housewarming party in Ocean Beach, CA in February 2019. Fabian's upstairs neighbors had invited him to join the celebrations, and he and Heather locked eyes and talked for a while. They exchanged Instagram handles to keep in touch, and for the next year, Fabian continued to message her to hang out, but their schedules never aligned. Fast forward to January 2020, they finally found a day where they were in the same area and managed to meet again in person amongst a group of friends, and they never looked back. They began going on dates and shared a love of Italian food. Fabian knew Heather was the one when she surprised him with his favorite pasta dish that she made from scratch on Valentine's Day (Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp). The next day they went out to bars by the beach where Heather gathered some liquid courage to ask Fabian when he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend. Being so direct and yet genuine with him with this question lead to it becoming the easiest decision for him to make. Enter March 2020, just a month into their new relationship, where they went out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day like most people do, only to find out two days later that the world was shutting down due to the start of a pandemic that we'd all come to despise, and that would change the course of our lives. They decided to quarantine together and host virtual hangouts with their closest friends, and began to get really comfortable with being around each other 24/7. Their relationship flourished during this trying time, and they managed to create memories together that they will always remember, full of homemade dinners, dance parties, and games to stay sane while being confined to the walls of her apartment. In February 2021, Heather and Fabian took the next big step and moved in together along with their fur baby, Sunny, after knowing they were able to co-exist successfully in the pandemic. They have since created a home and have begun to set their roots for their future. The last 4.5 years have been nothing short of challenging, but their unwavering love and commitment to each other have remained the core reason for continuing to build their relationship. In November 2023, Fabian and Heather took a trip to San Francisco to hang out with some of his closest college friends, and little did she know she would return home with a finger a little heavier than when she arrived. After a half mile hike up a hill in coordinating Tiki bar outfits, racing to try to make the summit by sunset, Fabian (albeit out of breath and nervous beyond belief), got down on one knee and popped the question, to which Heather said yes right as the sun was setting behind the skyline. This past year of wedding planning has led them to this very moment, counting down each day with excitement and some stress, but the one thing that hasn't wavered has been their love. They are over the moon ecstatic to solidify their future with their closest loved ones, and look forward to creating a lifetime of memories with all of you this night.
