Swiping Right to Always Kiss Me Goodnight

Like many relationships these days, our story blossomed from a dating app. Which then led to our first date. Mind you, it was a glorious meal that totaled under $20. Why is that you ask...well fortunately that $20 was stashed away in the door of my truck, for special occasions like this particular night! I'll have you know that it takes a special kinda man to swoon a woman on a first date when you start the date off with, "well, I left my wallet at home but fortunately I have 20 bucks." Though she felt I had "other intentions" from the start, she knew she had a KEEPER sitting across from her! (She tasked me with writing this, so y'all get my side of the story.) Fast forward a year to the day (which I was unaware) and I decided to make it "official." I'm not really sure why it took me that long, considering she IS perfect for me in every way, but time absolutely flies when you're having fun. I'm unable to keep count of the times we've both just busted out laughing at one another for the most random things. She keeps me grounded, she makes me whole. I push her outside of her comfort zone because she shines, no matter what she is doing. We are a true yen & yang, perfectly matched to make a whole. That's how I knew that she was going to be the one I couldn't live without. September 5, 2020, was the type of day I thought would never come, prior to meeting Heather. Although, roughly about the time I asked her to move in, I knew dropping down on one knee was in the cards. I lost a few things that day: my insecurities, my words, and even my lunch. 2 of which I never thought I'd lose, while the last I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT was solely from food poisoning! What I gained...a forever friend, forever lover, mutual provider, and simply a rock. She deserves more than I could ever provide and I deserve 1/10th of what she provides to me, but as long as she continues to think I'm all she'll ever need, I'll continue to love, praise, and provide for her till my last dying breath!
