Heath and I met in high school. He apparently became friends with my friends to get to me. We eventually got together and spent a good period of time together. The first date that I remember is on Halloween at my best friend Anaya's, Heath will tell you it wasn't our first date. Eventually we ended up drifting apart for reasons that neither of us remember; probably had to do with me moving elsewhere or something. Then we met again while I was living on the coast. He messaged me and it turned into him coming to visit. A wonderful friend of mine, Aileen, invited us to a Halloween party and that night we got back together.

Heath proposed at my favorite bookshop in Morro Bay. The shop has a beautiful garden chapel in the back with a small bench up against the outside chapel walls. He handed me this little leather bundle and told me to open it, inside was a beautiful handmade silver ring. I of course said yes...obviously. Before he asked me for my hand Heath went with me to my Grandfathers site and after I walked away he asked permission from him to wed me. He's a bit old school like that and that's just the way I like him. I'm sure my grandfather would agree that "farmer boy" turned into an alright man.
