Ten years ago, we were in the MJB Scholarship Program at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, where we both played in the Curb Youth Symphony and took college-prep music classes. For a while, we didn’t talk much other than a few questions in class, until one day when everyone was pairing up to do a presentation in Music History class. We were the last two people not to pair with someone else, thus we were put together for the class. From that day on, we have been best friends and inseparable.
Jonathan proposed to Jenna on a dear friends farm in Kentucky in the beautiful Victorian era music room (Jenna’s favorite room in the house). Jonathan followed her into the room and asked if she wanted to hear him sing a song that she loves, “The Book of Love”. Reaching the last verse: “I love it when you give me things, you should give me wedding rings”, Jonatham got on one knee and said “I’m not sure about a wedding ring just yet, but how about this?”, as he presented Jenna with a ring and asked her to be his wife. The answer was Yes!!
