The story of Katie and Pete goes back to late 2018, when they met through friends. Katie came over with a friend to watch a Patriots game, much to Pete’s surprise. Over the next 3 hours, they shared a couch and chatted throughout the game. They crossed paths again through the same group of friends a few weeks later, Christmas shopping at the Sowa Market in the South End, where they again spent much of the afternoon chatting. It was only after a Christmas party, the 3rd encounter, did Pete muster up the courage to ask Katie out on a date. After their first date, Pete muttered the dreaded words “I have to tell you something”, explaining that he was moving back to Los Angeles for the next 3 months for work - a commitment he made before they met each other. However, they made the best of it and agreed to keep in touch throughout this time apart, with Katie even flying out to visit for a long weekend. Pete returned to Boston as scheduled and the rest is history. Over the past five years Katie and Pete have made many wonderful memories together and have loyally supported each other through life’s ups and downs. Katie and Pete moved in together in Oak Square, Brighton in September 2022 where they still happily reside to this day. On an overcast day in April 2023, Pete proposed in the Boston Public Garden. A whirlwind afternoon concluded with celebratory drinks with family and friends. Now, they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with you all on their big day.
