Our story began in true Gen Z fashion—with a swipe up on a Snapchat story. Olivia was 17 and a senior in high school, while Jason was 18 and starting his freshman year at Illinois State University. After weeks of texting and late-night FaceTime calls, Olivia made the drive to ISU with Jason’s cousin to finally meet him in person. From their very first embrace, they both knew something was different—this was it. From that weekend on, they were inseparable. Jason would drive home every weekend to see Olivia, and when COVID hit, they spent every day together. Eventually, Olivia joined Jason at ISU, and their lives became even more intertwined. By junior year, they moved in together, and during their senior year, they made a special trip to Indiana to adopt their sweet dog, Daisy Mae, as a graduation gift to one another. Just shy of six years together, Jason got down on one knee and asked the easiest question Olivia ever had to answer. Now, nearly seven and a half years later, they are ready to tie the knot and vow to a lifetime of happiness and love.
