We both grew up in Boulder, attended the same high school, and had mutual friends. However, we did not officially meet until Nina moved back to Denver from Miami to attend medical school. Two of our mutual friends officially introduced us and we immediately hit it off. What started out as a friendship unintentionally evolved into something deeper right before Lena moved to Tel Aviv, Israel in 2018. Although neither of us had the intention of entering into a romantic relationship at the time (we were both at a major crossroads in our lives), the distance between Colorado and Israel did not stop our relationship from developing. We became so close over countless hours of FaceTime during Lena's first two months abroad that Nina traveled across the world to visit Tel Aviv. The week we spent together traveling up and down the stunning Mediterranean coastline and wandering the streets of Jerusalem further strengthened our bond. When Lena returned to Denver from Tel Aviv to start law school, our relationship progressed easily and we fell into step with one another. We got to know each other's family and friends, (quickly) moved in together, and adopted a puppy. It did not take much time for us to realize that we are absolutely crazy about each other and cannot imagine marching through life without each other. We had found what everyone is looking for. In March of 2020, Nina proposed to Lena at Viele Lake in Boulder, Colorado (see cute photo below). In June of 2020, we decided to legally tie the knot. Since our engagement, we have been getting ridiculously pumped to celebrate our love and commitment with our good friends and family! We cannot wait to party with you all in July 2022!!!
