"It's a Match!" Tinder started the conversation, but Caitlyn had no choice about meeting Tim in person; He was starting his ER rotation where she worked the next day. Tim had a tendency to miss out on lunch during his time in the ER, and one day Caitlyn came to his rescue with a sandwich. He found the perfect opportunity to return the favor with a nice dinner, and together they have been able to continue coming to each other's rescue and enriching each other's lives. Thank you, Tinder!
PA school and clinical rotations had been keeping Caitlyn away, and she found herself in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Tim was able to take a weekend and meet Caitlyn in Albany, NY. Knowing Caitlyn's love of strenuous activity and heights, Tim decided to take her hiking in the Catskills. That morning, Tim dragged Caitlyn out of bed early, drove out to the trail, and found a trek significantly more steep than he had been anticipating. There were concerns she would back out before making it to the top. "Just think of the views," Tim kept repeating, on that particularly overcast and foggy day. When they finally arrived at a clearing Tim's friends (Jon and Erika) had set up for photographs and video of the event, Caitlyn immediately noticed the video camera, almost ruining the surprise. As Tim retrieved the box and began to get on one knee for the big moment... Caitlyn became distracted by the bugs making her their lunch and kept walking away. Fortunately, after getting her to turn back and look down, Tim was able to pull out the ring and ask the question; she said yes!
