We're getting married!

Emily let me take the reins on writing this part for some reason. Most likely because we wouldn't be together now had I not made it known to her over and over again when we were seniors at Lexington Catholic High School that I was interested. I'd known who Emily was for years but something clicked for me in a big way our last year together. I can't even put it in to words but I knew. I knew she was the person for me. She missed the memo on that one though. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. So while the quality of our time together wasn't necessarily winning her over, I made sure the quantity of it left her with very little doubt about where I stood. Our lockers were always very near one another and over the course of the year I began to notice patterns - much like a deranged stalker might - about her class schedule. I'd linger just a few seconds longer after calculus before going to Latin. "Oh, Emily! You're walking this way too? I'll provide some company." She figured out what I was doing after about a week into it but - much like any classic, garden variety deranged person - I was not deterred. I auditioned for the play because I knew Emily was going to be doing it and wow. That's required time that we had to spend together. Strangely, my riveting turn as a megalomaniacal theater director who ultimately impregnated Emily's character in the show didn't convince her that we were meant for one another. It was months later after we had both graduated that she finally admitted to me that she might have feelings as well. I was actually seeing someone else at the time she told me that and it's like, "lol tru ok byeeeee" ya know? We started dating that summer. We first said, "I love you" after a pool party in Harrodsburg. We went to different colleges, broke up, got back together, moved to LA, broke up, and got back together - for the last time. I was right about us and Emily is right about everything else. We work well together.
