Connecticut may not be famous for its sandy beaches, but it makes up for it with classic New England charm. Silver Sands is nestled in a picturesque town and is known for its unique sandbar. At low tide, you can stroll across the sandbar to Charles Island—just be sure to keep an eye on the rising tide, or you might find yourself stranded.
Leopards and turtles and bears - oh my?
