Lizzy and Mike met working at a little place called Olive Garden. Lizzy was immediately taken back by Mike, and he with her. Their attraction to each other was instantaneous, however, attraction doesn't always mean "true love", well, not right away. Not long after meeting 2 years ago Mike and Lizzy entered into a dating relationship that only lasted a total of one week. Lizzy was devastated as she knew and felt deeply in her heart that this was the man for her, Lizzy decided to take a step back and be what Mike needed most at the time, a really good friend. Lizzy became someone he could talk to and confide in, and eventually their friendship and bond grew so much that they decided to become roommates. The roommates thing worked well for awhile, however, the closer Lizzy was to Mike the more her romantic love for him grew and it started to take a toll on their friendship. Mike cared deeply for Lizzy, however, he was very honest at the time, stating he was not in the right headspace for a committed relationship & although he had feelings for her he knew he could not be what she needed at the time. So, in order to preserve their friendship, the two decided to stop being roommates but remained friends and they both began to see other people. One day, out of the blue Lizzy gets a call from Mike and he asks if he can stop by because he had something to discuss with her. Of course Lizzy was happy to have Mike come see her as she still was secretly in love with him and this was the day that changed everything! Mike came by to finally declare his love for her and say he realized she was not only his best friend but his true love, and the woman for him! They soon moved in together and soon realized they were to be parents! Michael Leroy Ashby II was born December 30, 2018 and they both were so proud of him. On New Years Eve, on the stroke of midnight, with the baby cradled in one arm, Mike asked Lizzy to marry him! Of course, she said YES!
