FAQs

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at ae.haynes25@gmail.com
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than May 1st, 2025 by clicking the RSVP tab on the menu of our wedding website.

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

Your presence will surely be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding please indicate "Will Not Attend" on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd "Attending", but find that you will not be able to make it, please notify Amanda or Elias as soon as you are aware.

Question

What if I miss the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Unfortunately if you do not RSVP by May 1st, 2025, you will be marked as "Not Attending". We would love to celebrate with you, however we must provide our vendors with an exact guest count by specific deadlines and therefore we cannot accept any late RSVP's.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. We recommend arriving 20-30 mins early to ensure you have ample time to park and find a seat. Early arrivals are more than welcome to explore the grounds and take pictures throughout our beautiful venue!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

There will be plenty of complimentary guest parking available upon entering our venue. Look for the "Wedding Parking" sign, you can't miss it!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! Formal attire preferred. We encourage florals and bright summer colors - check out the "Guest Attire Inspo" page for ideas! Also, in case you're worried about accidentally matching the wedding party, they will be wearing light sage green dresses and ties. We do kindly ask that you avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride: whites, ivories and creams.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Wear whatever shoes you feel comfortable in! Please keep in mind that due to the historic nature of our venue, the grounds have some irregular paved surfaces and uneven terrain including stairs and walkways. Specifically for the ladies, it is recommended to consider wearing flats, wedges, or chunkier block-style heels/sandals as opposed to thinner stiletto-style heels.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We adore your little ones! However, unless specifically listed by name on your invitation, we kindly request that you make alternative child care arrangements. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. When you RSVP, your guest's name will be included alongside your own if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (No phones or cameras). The best gift you could give us is to be present as we say our "I Do's". We have hired professionals to capture this special moment for us, so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you so get ready to celebrate! As always, please drink responsibly. *Please note that our venue does NOT allow for shots, shots poured over ice, or neat drinks to be served. Also, the bartending staff reserves the right to ask for ID to verify age *

Question

Are there nearby accommodations I can stay at?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott, Rancho Bernardo as well as the Hampton Inn & Suites, Poway. If reserving a room, please do so by May 27th, 2025. Additional info and booking links can be found by clicking the "Hotel" tab on our website.

Question

How will I get home at the end of the evening?

Answer

If you plan to indulge in our open bar and do not have a designated sober driver, we highly recommend taking Uber or Lyft to get you home safely at the end of the night. Due to the location of our venue, pre-scheduling late night pick-ups is recommended. Our venue allows for free overnight parking so long as you retrieve your vehicle by 12pm the following day, or risk getting towed.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

In lieu of traditional gifts, we appreciate your consideration to contribute to our honeymoon fund instead! This can be done by clicking on our "Registry" page on our website and contributing via Venmo. Alternatively, if you prefer to purchase a physical gift, we have listed a few ideas from Amazon that can be found on our Registry page or by using this link: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/haynes-2025. We will also have a card box available at our wedding reception. Thank you!
