Like so many modern romances, ours began online—with a cheesy pickup line from Kenny that somehow managed to win me over. What started with laughter quickly grew into something real, and before long, we realized we had found something special. From the beginning, our relationship has been filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of playful bickering. Friends often joke that we already act like an old married couple—but that’s part of the magic. We never get tired of each other, and even when we disagree, it never lasts long. Kenny is my safe space, my soulmate, and the one who makes me laugh like no one else can. The day he proposed was straight out of a dream. Under the beautiful Century Tree at Texas A&M University—a place filled with tradition and meaning—he asked me to spend forever with him. Of course, I said yes, however, Kenny will never let me live it down that I said “no” first. *Insert playful eye roll here* I said “no you’re not” in a “I can’t believe this is happening right now” way but of course he heard no first and loves to lead with that when telling our engagement story just to push my buttons. Now we’re counting down the days until we say “I do,” surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. I can just see it now, Kenny telling our future kids and grandkids that I told him no when he proposed and I’ll sit right next to him with an eye roll and a smile.
