We had our first date at Bakersfield and come back every year for our 1 year first date anniversary. Joey suggests the Al Pastor and Carnitas taco. Haylie recommends the queso and a spicy margarita!
Big Woods Speedway
After a short 3 weeks of dating and knowing each other, Joey introduced Haylie to his entire family here. Great place for beer and pizza. Joey and Haylie both love their Six Foot Strawberry Blonde beer, Signature Pulled Pork Nachos, and their Smokehouse Pizza!
Fundae's Ice Cream & Sweets
This is a fairly new ice cream shop that we enjoy riding our bikes to. Joeys top choice: Ultimate Oreo. Haylie's top choice: PB hearts Chocolate. We highly recommend getting a dipped waffle cone or bowl!
16-Bit Bar+Arcade
Haylie threw Joey a surprise 27th birthday that ended in a trip to 16-Bit Bar where we joined some of his family and friends for pizza, drinks, and arcade games. We suggest grabbing any one of their fun drinks, like the Lisa Frank that gets topped off with a Airhead Rainbow Sour Belt or one of their alcoholic slushies and playing some skeeball or Burger Time. Even though this sounds like a family fun time, this bar is 21+ so leave the kids at home!
