We met on a dating app in 2021, both living in San Diego at the time. I, Hayley, had grown up in the small town of Tieton, Washington, and Adam was from Horicon, Wisconsin. As we got to know each other and shared stories about our families, we stumbled upon the most unexpected connection—his dad and my mom had actually grown up together in tiny Tieton back in the 1960s! It felt completely serendipitous, like the universe was giving us a little nudge. From that moment on, we knew this was something special worth holding onto.
