This will come as a complete shock to some I'm sure, but we met through the Star Wars Club at Kansas State. Being very outgoing (ha) we both volunteered to run the club's booth at the K-State activity fair back in 2017. It was an early morning, so I bought both of us a cup of coffee and we chatted about the usual stuff. Over the next couple of years, we became very good friends, mostly joking around with each other and engaging in heated debates at Star Wars Club meetings. My last year of school we discovered we each had an 8:30a class in the same hallway of Cardwell Hall. Well, in our own sad attempt at flirting, we would "unintentionally" show up to class an hour early and sit on the bench in the main hallway of Cardwell and chat. We did this every Tuesday and Thursday of that Fall semester (except the week Will had pneumonia). The last day of class that semester Will managed to sneak a present into my backpack so I would have a Christmas gift to open from him during the holidays. Cut to the next semester, Will attempts (unsuccessfully) to ask me out multiple times. My personal favorite was when he offered to stay in the Union and watch a scary movie with me for a class and I said no. He was devastated. Eventually, though, he asked me out -- I said yes -- and we spent the evening of February 9, 2019, watching Blazing Saddles and eating Thin Mints. I would then spend the rest of the semester testing his loyalty by dragging him to the Union at 4am to study for exams and finals (many more cups of coffee were bought). That being said, I think the truest testament to our relationship was definitely when I drove us through a blizzard in Chicago and yelled every 4-letter word in the book (however, Will will tell you it's whenever I have coffee past 8p). -Hayley
