We're Getting Married

Underneath the clear and crisp Tahoe night sky, two star crossed lovers began their journey and happily-ever after. This was the cliché “I knew from the moment I saw them” kind of moment, but it was something special. Even though we did not know it yet, this chance encounter began a love story that would change their lives forever. It must have been the bright purple tights, Tyler was wearing, or maybe it was Hayley’s fun-loving aura, but we caught each other’s eye. Although, we did not immediately jump into a relationship, a friendship began that eventually blossomed into something beautiful and full of love. Over the next couple of months we started to grow closer and closer, but our relationship was put on hold when Hayley graduated and moved down to Santa Barbara to start her career. It was like Michelangelo starting his project of the Sistine Chapel and going out for a long coffee break in the middle of his masterpiece. Tyler had been interviewing for summer internships in Santa Barbara and used the opportunity while he was down there to rekindle what they had started before. A quick get together resulted in another, which led to the simple yet nerve-wracking question: “will you go out with me?”. You may have figured that Hayley said “yes”. From there love blossomed and grew into something extraordinary. From Tahoe to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo to Irvine, and Grover Beach and back, this love story has continued through thick and thin; no matter the physical distance between the two, there was never any way to separating Tyler and Hayley. The love between Tyler and Hayley has gotten them this far and both cannot wait to share the joy they have for each other and to begin the rest of their lives together, as they gather family, friends, and loved ones in San Luis Obispo on August 10th, 2019.

The date was May 10th, 2018. Hayley and Tyler woke up on a early warm and dewy morning in Maui to go on a beautiful hike. Tyler had asked the concierge for tips on the best hikes to propose on. With a little guidance Tyler chose to propose on the Kapalua Coastal Trail. Tyler decided to wing it a bit and let the trail determine where he proposed. It was the perfect spot, over looking the ocean with the sunrise peaking through the light veil of clouds. Tyler distracted Hayley by saying "wow look at that bird over there." Hayley had no idea what was about to happen and as she turned back around, Tyler was getting down on one knee and popped the question. Hayley was in complete shock and asked "is this really happening," then quickly replied "yes!!!! of course!!!."
