One of our favorite state parks in all of Washington! We frequent this park for the beaches, extensive trail system, lake/swimming area, sand dunes, wildlife viewing, and camping. The park extends far beyond the bridge itself so we encourage you to explore one of our most loved places near home. Though this park has numerous trails and plenty suited for beginners, we would recommend driving to the parking areas to explore the bridge or driving down to the beach for those with less hiking experience. Some other nearby (but less busy parks) we recommend include Bowman Bay, Rosario Beach, and Washington Park in Anacortes. For any Washington State Parks, please remember to pay for a day pass, you can do this at the park or online!
This is, in our opinion, probably one of the more beautiful places in the area and it's the site of our engagement! It's a 5 mile hike up but don't worry there is a road to drive to the summit as well! A good stop for individuals not afraid of heights with moderate to strong hiking skills. Please note that the terrain is difficult in areas, it is not child friendly, there are not any guard rails along the cliff sides, and paved paths are only present in the parking area. Please visit at your own risk!
For our family and friends traveling through Seattle, this is a small yet beautiful conservatory located in Volunteer Park that we frequently pass through. It’s a simple and laid back Seattle activity that offers nice views of the mountains from an old brick water tower. Perfect rain or shine!
A literal classic, if any of you out of town travelers haven't gone, now is your chance! The waterfront has been recently renovated and offers plenty of space to explore. A few of our favorite vendors include Piroshky Piroshky, Pike Place Chowder, and Three Girls Bakery, though there are plenty more! For local coffee that isn't Starbucks, we recommend Anchorhead Coffee just outside of the market.
