The Parthenon is the iconic marble temple in Athens dedicated to the goddess Athena, built between 447 and 432 BCE. Take a tour or go on your own!
A little bit of a drive, but it is a very scenic one. Sounio beach is at the base of the temple, so you can go for a swim, grab lunch, and head up the mountain to the archeological site to watch the sunset.
A fun beach bar with food, bars, and lounge chairs.
Restaurant we enjoy going to with great views right on the water
Tasty Greek food in the heart of Monasteraki, Athens... Not a tourist trap and it stays open LATE. Big portions of Gyros, souvlakis kebab, half kilos of wine all fairly priced.
A must see restaurant on Lycabettus Hill. Go when it's dark or during sunset for great views of the acropolis. You can walk or take a funicular to the top. Even if you don't go to eat you can go to the top to take a look at the scenery.
