In the midst of the pandemic, we have been making the wisest and most safety-centered decisions that we can. With our wedding quickly approaching, we continue to make decisions with this in mind. We will be hosting our wedding on June 19 in person. In accordance with the advice of many epidemiologists, we ask that those that are not fully vaccinated or do not feel comfortable to please bring and wear a mask. Masks will also be available, if forgotten. We take the pandemic very seriously and ask that our guests would respect this, as well. We are exceedingly excited to celebrate with you, but also do not want anyone that we know and love to be put at risk. We appreciate your help in safe-guarding our wedding and all of the people that will be in attendance on that day. The countdown begins! With love, until we see you!
Our engagement was no small day! On May 9, 2020, we celebrated Sam graduating with his Bachelor's in Education on the same exact day that Hayley was meant to be graduating with her Master's in Biomedical Science. With the status of the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing, we were already prepared for our celebration to look very different from our initial walk-across-the-stage to receive our diplomas. However, little did Hayley know, Sam was determined to continue with his secret plans for a proposal on that day, while keeping our families' and friends' safety in mind as well. A small graduation celebration was to be held, what Hayley didn't know was that there would be even more to celebrate! While coming to pick up a glass-of-wine-to-go from one of the Lange's favorite Wineries, Sam popped out and got down on one knee. The surprises didn't stop there either; both the Huska and Lange immediate family were hidden in the balcony watching. Sam proposed with a beautiful Black Hills Gold Ring, the rings being a tradition that stemmed back from Hayley's mother's family. The ring featuring a beautiful Sapphire will move to Hayley's right hand in the upcoming months, as Sam was just too eager to wait to propose and the couple has now- since the reopening of stores and the availability of virtual consulatations- designed an engagement ring that will find its home on Hayley's left hand. The day was magical: full of life, energy, and love (all things desperately needed in these times). It just goes to show, that even the most difficult of times can give rise to some of the most meaningful of moments!
