Her side of the story… Renzo and I met in college. I know this sounds basic, but let me fill you in on what happened. We both had started the x-ray tech program but we didn’t even speak to each other. One day during the first month that classes had started I went out in service with a friend and she told me there was a Jehovah’s Witness in my program. When I asked who, she had no idea. However, Renzo instantly was the first person to come to mind. This was because although we never spoke, I noticed this one guy would always come well dressed to class and was super polite. The very next week I approached him asking “are you a witness?” In shock he replied yes and asked how I knew. I explained my friend told me there was a witness in my program, but he had no idea which friend I was talking about. We quickly became really good friends because we clicked so well. Eventually that friendship turned into real love. Funny enough after graduating the program, we learned that the witness my friend was talking about was a senior in our program, and not Renzo. Im glad I made the mistake of assuming it was Renzo, because here we are now ready to start our future together. His side of the story… This is my sparknotes version. My first interaction with Hayley was in an early morning lab at school. At this point she was just another slightly unfriendly, but extremely smart classmate, who needed coffee to kickstart her day. Fast forward a couple of weeks this same girl asks me “Are u a witness?” My brain couldn’t quite make sense of what was happening and my face showed it so she rephrased her question “Are you a Jehovah’s Witness?” From that point on I discovered she wasn’t unfriendly at all, she just needed some French vanilla coffee from the cart on Adams Street. She would turn out to be one of the best friends I could ask for. Eventually, the 5 min I had to talk to her between classes would become the best five min of my life. Now three years later, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her. (And to make sure she gets her coffee).
