But they met one fateful night in June of 2018 when Pierce was out with coworkes and Hayley was at her home in Walnut Creek having a movie night in. Both were on the dating app Hinge and several hours into “swiping left,” Pierce and Hayley happened to swipe “yes” on each other. Their first date was at a dive bar in San Francisco called The Scarlett Letter and they have visited many a bar together since! Two years later, two dogs, new jobs, new homes and moving states, Pierce decided to propose one rainy night in Denver, Colorado. While the two were enjoying their favorite cheese and charcuterie board dinner and watching Frozen 2, Pierce pulled out the ring. Hayley said yes, got the dogs approval and the rest has been history. 2020 has been a whirlwind of a year. Although a large wedding with friends and family was not in the cards this year, the couple look forward to celebrating next year with all of their loved ones. There will be plenty of wine, rest assured! Cheers to married life!
