We're Getting Married!

How We Met: In May 2019, Hayley went to visit her sister, Randi, in Massachusetts for Memorial Day weekend. During that weekend, they went to brunch with Randi's co-workers Caroline and Max. Randi and Caroline "not-so-stealthily" both went to the bathroom at the same time, leaving us alone for a few minutes. After brunch, Randi asked both of us separately what we thought of one another, which we both replied that we thought the other was nice and attractive. Fast forward to November 2019 at Randi's wedding, where we spent the whole majority of the whole night together. At the brunch the next day, Max asked Hayley on a date for Thanksgiving weekend. Our first date consisted of 8 hours of drinks, tapas, and dancing in SoHo NYC plus late night pizza in Penn Station. Our Relationship: Our nearly 5 year relationship has been an adventure. We were long distance for two and a half between New York and Massachusetts and then New York and Chicago, mostly during COVID. Our relationship only got stronger through the years. The Proposal (August 24th, 2024): Because of our love for Broadway, Max created a playbill just for the "musical" we were both going to sing songs from. He took five of our favorite Broadway songs and changed the lyrics to be about our five years together. During the last song, "Seasons of Love" from Rent, Max got down on one knee and proposed!
