Wedding Party

Nicholas

Best Person

Nicholas is my older, and only, brother. We've been through every childhood move, start of a new school, and one-off Army Brat situations together. He the chillest and raddest person I know and wouldn't imagine having anyone else by my side to help me laugh at the oddities and cry tears of joy this wedding day.

Mike

Best Man

My only brother Mike has been an aspirational example to me not through his words or proclamations, but through his actions. He showed me how to be a good friend, how to listen (or maybe, more accurately, when not to talk), and how to be an individual. He taught me that persistence, risk-taking, and a positive attitude lead to success. As my older brother, he's quietly looked after me, as have my two older sisters, Jessi and Maggie. His generosity of spirit has given me strength during a number of dark times and has lifted me up even at my highest points. And that spirit flows into everyone he meets, illustrated by his senior superlative honors of "Best Personality" and "Most Remembered." And in a poetic, apt, dark joke the next year, I was simply given "Loudest."

Megan

Brideslady

Despite Megan's initial reaction to me, we grew to be close friends in college. She's fiercely loyal, a dedicated worker, and a superstar in selfcare. Megan inspires me to strive for better and speak louder for myself. I know Megan will be a champion if anything goes not as planned, while also singing her heart out with me on the dance floor.

Nick

Groomsman

Nick and I met freshman year at UW-Madison, but our friendship didn't blossom until we both moved to Milwaukee where we bonded over our shared sense of humor and our love of obscure late-90's/early2000's soccer players. Nick is an eccentric, but unlike other eccentrics, you don't necessarily know it right away. You have to dig a little deeper, but then you'll find gold. I have always been so impressed by the courage and confidence of his decision-making, and it has been a joy and inspiration to watch him follow his passions and conquer numerous challenges.

Simone

Brideslady

Simone and I have known each other since our freshman year in college. Through spending too many late nights painting our nails to distract from endless work, school, and social stressors, our comfortability to lean on one another grew. No matter the situation, I know Simone will have my back, lend an ear, or share a snuggle. She'll help to keep a level head throughout the day and remind me to laugh at the little things.

Heidl

Groomsman

My brother-in-law, Mike Heidl, is one of the most industrious and generous people I know. His generosity, while sometimes material, is more frequently shown in his time and attention. He's a fast learner, early adopter, and quick thinker. His creativity expands from his professional work into exciting adventures (big and small), artistic surprises, and personalized (often hilarious) gifts. Long story short, he makes you feel special.

Charles

Officiant

My respect and love for Charles came from understanding how important he is to James. We're so excited to have Charles lead us into marriage, with his words of kindness, love, and comedic honesty. Charles is responsible for who I am today. While my brother, Mike, taught me how to achieve what I wanted, Charles asked me "why?" We met our freshman year at UW-Madison, and he quickly steered my attention to the important things. Charles' patience and understanding is matched only by his dedication to his friends and family. His thoughtfulness encourages deeper understanding, and his compassion is contagious.
