We’re getting married!

Jacob and Hayley met on June 10, 2018. Their mutual best friend, Luke Repsher, threw an end-of-the-year class party. Jacob was, in fact, not in the class but that decision of showing up anyway led to a beautiful story.

Jacob and Hayley found friendship quickly and became very close. Weekends were spent along with their friend group consisting of Charlie Pruiett and Luke Repsher. The group, titled ‘smellin melons’, were inseparable.

The couple finally started dating on November 21, 2021. For two years, they experienced medium distance while Jacob attended UVA and Hayley stayed home for online college attending SNHU. In their time dating, they went to concerts, went to each other’s family vacations, went across the country for the first time together, and many other life-changing moments that brought them to where they are today.

On the day of their 3 year dating anniversary Jacob took them to a special spot, Sherando Lake, for a lunch picnic. He popped the question to Hayley on the beach while her best friend shot photos, surprising her. Not long after she said yes, it began to snow. A beautiful symbol and confirmation from heaven.
