Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please wear cocktail attire or semi-formal dress.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at or before 10:15 AM to get settled in the church, as the ceremony will start promptly at 10:30 AM.

Question

Will there be transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle for transportation between the church and reception site. Shuttles will leave the church at 11:45am and 12:15pm and bring guests to the reception site. Shuttles will leave the reception site at 5:30pm and 6:00pm and return guests to their cars in the church parking lot. You may also choose to drive to the venue, where there is metered street parking.

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony and venue?

Answer

There are two parking lots at St. John's Church we recommend: -Parking structure on 24th & Burt – top level only -Staff/Student lot on 24th Street between Burt and Cuming Street Please see the image at the top of this page for a parking map for St. John's Church. Please contact us if you need handicapped parking, available on the west side of the church. Parking for our reception at Vintage Ballroom is street parking only and often is metered/requires payment. Downtown can be busy at this time of year so you may want to use a ridesharing app to get to and from the wedding. A shuttle will be available to transport guests from the church to the reception venue after the ceremony. You are welcome to leave your car at the church, as we will also provide a shuttle service back to the church parking lot later in the day.

Question

What if I have food allergies/dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please contact us if you have an allergy or dietary restriction. Since both the bride and the groom have celiac disease, all food at the wedding reception will be entirely gluten free.

Question

Can I bring my baby to the wedding?

Answer

We love kids! Be mindful that St. John's Church is designed to amplify sound. If your little one needs a break from the ceremony, please exit the main church from a side door and return once baby is ready.

Answer
