The story of Dallis and Hayley begins like many fairytale love stories….in a bar (haha). They met way back in college at The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. It was 2016 and Hayley was only 21 years old! It was a fall night at Molly McGuires (local campus bar) when Hayley saw a cute guy on the dance floor and decided to bump into him a few times. Eventually Dallis couldn’t resist (; and he asked for her number. Life got in the way and it took them a few weeks to connect and go on a first date. Their first date was at Applebees and Hayley was so nervous she changed the plans last minute to a double date. Dallis wasn’t thrilled about that because he was outgoing and trying to get to know Hayley, and Hayley was reserved and quiet with him the whole night. Dallis left the date thinking Hayley wasn’t interested (which was far from the truth, she just needed some time to open up). So needless to say, it was a little bit of a slow burn, but once the feelings were there, they fell for each other very deeply. They graduated college and got their degrees together, moved in together, got their first career jobs and began to build livelihoods together, and ultimately navigated the start of adulthood with one another by their sides. Life has taken them through quite the journey. There has been ups and down, several moves, job changes, etcetera. But ultimately, their journey has led them here to this beautiful destination of marriage almost 9 years later! What is meant to be will always find its way. <3 But wait, how did Dallis pop the question?! He planned an ‘early family/friend thanksgiving’ so Hayley knew she had to be ready by a certain time and that her parents were coming into town. He also arranged for one of Hayley’s friends (shout out Lindsey!) to ask to get their nails done together the night before. Morning of, Dallis said there was a change of plans and they had to leave a little earlier to meet their friends (shout out Kev & Liz!) by the river for coffee because they couldn’t come to the get together anymore. Dallis and Hayley walked to river front and that’s when he got down on one knee! He even had a photographer there to capture the special moment. After they popped champagne and had a few photos taken, they walked over to a restaurant where Dallis had a bunch of family and friends waiting for them to celebrate. It was truly an amazing & beautiful day. Today, they are living in Waukesha with their kitties, succeeding in their careers, enjoying travel, and getting ready to build a family together.
