Mingo Falls

This site is absolutely worth the drive. We were able to explore it the weekend we got engaged! “120 feet tall, the waterfall is one of the tallest and most spectacular in the southern Appalachians! The hike to the waterfall is only 0.4 miles in length, but considered moderate in difficulty.” (161 stairs) ! Make sure to have directions downloaded for all activities as service is limited.

A great breakfast stop in Waynesville, NC. It's about 3o minutes from our wedding venue in Whittier, but a perfect halfway point stop if you're traveling to visit Asheville.
