On March 22, 2022, a simple swipe on Facebook Dating marked the beginning of our journey together. Just a month later, Devean traveled from Hutchinson, Minnesota, to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to meet Hayleigh in person. Their very first date was anything but ordinary, it began with Hayleigh introducing Devean to her entire family at a birthday celebration and ended with an evening of laughter and bowling. Over the course of the following year, countless trips back and forth deepened their connection. Recognizing that their hearts were already at home with one another, Devean decided to move to Sioux Falls, where they began creating a life together. With time, their home grew warmer and fuller, not only with love but also with the addition of two cherished cats. On August 16, 2025, surrounded by family, Devean asked Hayleigh to be his forever. With joyful hearts and an easy “yes,” they began the next chapter of their story, one that will continue to unfold with their wedding day.
