Depending on who you ask, you might hear some wildly different tales about how we crossed paths! Setting aside any biases, it all kicked off when Hayleigh started crushing on Josh back in 2015. She'd just transferred to Colorado State University to play softball. Meanwhile, Josh, a track athlete, seemed to keep sprinting away from his destiny! (Rumor has it, Josh leaned over to his good friend, Scrap, during a CSU athlete banquette in 2016 saying "she's going to be mine one day" in reference to Hayleigh singing a parody song.) Our orbits frequently crossed paths within the same social circles, and occasionally, we'd bump into each other at parties. But the turning point didn't arrive until July 4th, 2017, in our favorite place, Fort Collins. That marked our inaugural "official" conversation (though, depending on who you ask, our versions diverge – Hayleigh insists it was the night of Halloween in 2016. IYKYK. 😉). From that moment on, fate seemed to have a plan. Hayleigh turned 21 a week later and "coincidentally" ran into Josh at the 'oh-so-classy' Rec Room - The last place you aim to be, but somehow everyone ends up there. Little did she know, Josh had a hunch she'd be out with her friends! Ever since that encounter, the rest, as they say, is history! Josh popped the question to Hayleigh at Horsetooth Reservoir in Fort Collins on 11/12/23 (if you know Hayleigh, she loves that Josh planned it on 11+12=23), the very spot of our first date back in 2017! We're absolutely thrilled to celebrate our union with each and every one of you. Let the countdown to our big day begin!
