After the untimely passing of two close friends, Zac decided to book a flight and visit a friend in downtown, San Diego. Upon the recommendation of that same friend, he joined the internet dating scene for the remainder of his trip. A short thirty minutes away, Haylee decided to also try that same scene and give it a fair shot, for only 24 hours. Haylee swiped right on Zachary first with a very strong and forward message. That message for the sake of embarrassment purposes will not be shared here. She vividly remembers immediately wanting to unsend the message and delete the app, but in the spur of the moment tossed her phone on the bed and hoped he wouldn't see it or respond. Fortunately for them both, he did. Although Haylee was under the impression Zac lived locally and was only from Alabama, they still agreed to meet for coffee the the next day. Both Zac and Haylee were cautious to meet and openly expressed their concerns of possible Ted Bundy and catfishing schemes. Regardless, of these common fears they continued with their plan. Bright and early, they met in Seaport Village at Spill the Beans Coffee. They shared stories, experiences, and laughs all with of course the company between them and their horrible lattes. Zac walked Haylee to her car, walking street side, and held her car door open as he asked permission to continue talking via phone number this time! He walked back to his friends' house and she drove home, both remarking of the incredible time they had and the hope that the relationship would continue to blossom. Little did we know, it would!
