Our love story doesn’t start off like the average because we didn’t meet in high school college or at a party we met online. At first, we were definitely interested but I was about to have a major surgery so we just kind of put it on the back burner for a bit. As a few months go by I couldn’t help but think about how adorable his smile was and how kind he was so I felt like it was someone telling me to look for him again and let’s re-visit you know (That little spark we had.) So, we met again online talked laughed and made plans to meet up soon. Mathew drove 99 miles to come meet me for the very first time I was a little worried because I was still in my wheelchair from my surgery but that didn’t stop him from coming up. It was like it was fate!! We’ve had a few detours in the road like most people do but not even 99 miles difference can keep us apart. We went to the Alabama Safari on our first date. I know now for certain it was a sweet angel nudging me in the direction to “my person”! We have so much fun together, laugh, smile & live our lives. When you know it’s the right person you just know, no matter how long or short of time. Mathew planned with my best friend and family to surprise me one weekend with the sweetest proposal!! First, he took me to a Botanical Garden located in Dothan, Alabama, lunch at Outback Steakhouse and some shopping, all along a proposal was happening at my home that I had NO idea was happening. Believe it or not we were at Hobby Lobby (my favorite place to shop) we have been there almost an hour and I had told Mathew I was ready to go home. He just slowly walked each isle and I thought “maybe he just wants to see everything.” I didn’t question him. When we got back home there, he was on one knee in a beautiful proposal scene asking me to spend the rest of our lives together and my heart about exploded!! I said yes while all my loved ones were there sharing in our happiness and now, we are planning the happiest day of our lives!!
