Dakota and Hayle met working together at Price Chopper. Hayle noticed how cute that one boy was while he was working a shift as a cashier. Hayle attempted to become friends with Dakota. Little did she know on the day for Hayle's 18th birthday party/Halloween party, her friend who worked with both of them called Dakota and told him to come over for this party. So him and a couple friends show up and everyone had a fun time. After the party as Hayle cleans up, she gets a text from an unknown number.... it was Dakota.
After talking for a while he finally asks Hayle out on a date. On the first date Hayle was running late and suggested they go to McDonalds for dinner so they don't miss the movie Krampus. It was that night on December 5, 2015 that Dakota asked Hayle to be his girlfriend.
From then on, October 23, 2023 Dakota proposed to Hayle in their living room while carving pumpkins for a birthday gift to her. Hayle cried a waterfall while saying yes.
