Avid hikers have the option to tackle various nature trails; keep your eyes peeled for small and large birds, such as the cardinal or egret, amidst the breathtaking scenery. Popular North Shore Beaches. This is an iconic beach for winter surf. It should be calm enough for swimming in the summer but always heed the warnings and lifeguards advice. I think you can park at Waimea valley or the church near by for a small fee of course. Probably best to go really early or later in the day if you want to find parking in the free lot. *LISTEN TO LIFEGUARDS AND WARNING SIGNS*
Another iconic beach on the North Shore. Not sure I’d advise swimming here unless you are confident in the ocean. It should have incredible sunsets.
