Hiking on the Monkey Mountain
Monkey Mountain is one of the most exotic jungle hikes in the Riviera Nayarit, located just north of Punta de Mita. Mexico’s Sierra Madre Mountains feature a lush jungle with peaks so high you can see the entire bay, Punta Mita, and the exquisite beaches of Sayulita. This 3.5 hour hike is a great day of exercise, experience, and views. Do not miss this opportunity if you’re up for the challenge of climbing mountains for those cascading ocean views like no other. This is a pretty rigorous hike, but families with children as young as 7 were together enjoying a day of this spectacular scenery.
