Let's Celebrate!

Our nation’s capitol is where we met and had our first date on July 15th, or the 17th... It’s an ongoing debate between us as we cannot find proof for the correct day! Kristen pulled up in her cab, late and nervous, to Michael waiting in front of Bar 1905 on U Street NW, nervously smoking a cigarette. To her surprise, Michael wasn’t 5’5”, but tall and well dressed. As she was radiant and gorgeous. The date went smoothly, although Kristen had to mask an allergic reaction to the cider she ordered. Michael just thought she was blushing. He walked her to the Metro afterwards and asked if he could kiss her. He wanted to ever since their riveting conversation about The Beatles and Star Wars. A wonderful 6 years later, and here we are! Oh, wait! We skipped a part. Two and a half years ago, Michael proposed to Kristen one beautiful Southern California afternoon in February on the grounds of Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. We’ve roamed the streets of DC together for a few years and eventually made our way to California. On our first date Kristen told Michael that within the next two years she wanted to move (back) to California. Serendipity! Michael was planning the same move at that time. These four years in California have been our “Live, laugh, love” in every which way. We live because we try for each other every single day. We laugh because I keep breaking glassware and Kristen spills everywhere. We love because we do all of the above and more. And soon we will be starting our new adventure. We will be moving to The Netherlands. “Isn’t that weird?!” Don’t worry, we’ll be back! Without much further ado, and ironic jokes, we can’t be happier to see you all and celebrate our love together.
