Where to stay

I recommend looking in the towns of Kihei or Wailea for lodging as this will be central to where the wedding will be taking place! Kihei is often much cheaper and you can find reasonably priced AirBandBs. Wailea has more of the hotels and resorts, with a ritzy feel. Overall, it seems AirBandBs in Kihei may be slightly less than the hotel rates in Kihei and will be less than hotel rates in Wailea.

If you are staying in Kihei you may be able to walk to the beach and close stores/shopping etc. If you would like to sightsee more of the island, a rental car is recommended.
