This love story started like those of most post-pandemic, elder-millennial romances: online. Jay made the first move, but Brittany was skeptical of the tattooed guy in law enforcement. “Not my type” she often said, but something about him made her keep returning to his profile. What sealed the deal was Jay’s message to Brittany that said, “You keep looking at my profile so you might as well talk to me.” And so she did. The first date was at Dunkin’ Donuts in Brookline. Jay says it was the most expensive coffee he ever bought, and he’s been paying for it ever since.
