We first met when I was about 8 or 9 years old (so I was told) during Alex and my brother, Michael's, travel baseball games for the Pioneers. Even though I cheered for him on the sidelines countless times, we really did not connect until a bonfire at our friend's, Carli and Andrew's, house. We spent a summer full of countless hours together as a large friend group boating, swimming and sitting around fires making memories, until Alex hosted his house warming party. As we were all dancing around and singing I handed Alex the sparkly rhinestone karaoke microphone and he had no shame belting out "Man, I feel like a woman!" alongside of me. From then on it was history! I couldn't have asked for a better singing partner for the rest of our lives!
Lindsay and I met in the summer of 2020. Her friend group adopted my friend group full of introverts. This summer was full of fires, boat days and nights out at townie bars. The first time we really spoke was at a mutual friends' apartment and I knew she was the one when she stuck a guitar pick to her forehead “because she’s Lebanese.” The romance didn’t actually start until months after when she asked me when I was going to ask her out, since she knew I wouldn't have the courage to do it myself. It’s a rather short story after that as everything happened so quickly and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
