Their journey began in Lexington, KY, during their junior year at the University of Kentucky. It was there that they were set up on a double date by Spencer's good friend and fraternity brother, Andy Flood. Not only was Hayden excited to attend Sigma Chi formal with Spencer, she was even more excited that her twin sister was her wing woman, attending the event as Andy's date. Not long into the night, it was clear to both Hayden and Madison that these boys were special. After many more Sigma Chi formals, Kappa Alpha Theta date parties and Keeneland weekends, the connection between Hayden and Spencer continued to grow deeper. They decided to make their relationship official just days before the Kentucky Derby, one of their favorite events to attend together. Upon graduating the University of Kentucky, Spencer moved back to Northern Kentucky to pursue his career while Hayden moved to Nashville attending a graduate program in mental health counseling. Despite the many miles between them, they cherished their time spent together. From Broadway to the Banks of Cincinnati, they shared many fond memories, helping them navigate their long distance relationship for two years. Eventually, Hayden decided to make the move from Nashville to Northern Kentucky in fall of 2022. The next few years proved to be an exciting new chapter for the couple, filled with date nights, long walks, family fun, holidays, new jobs, a first home and more. On February 28, 2025, Spencer surprised Hayden with a proposal at Mama's on Main, their favorite Italian restaurant. Surrounded by friends and family, it was a night they will cherish forever. They can't wait to continue the celebrations at Ashbourne Farm, a venue near and dear to their heart, with everyone on April 11, 2026!
