Although there are multiple nonstop flights from major hubs, including Dallas, Denver and Phoenix —flights from smaller airports may require a layover. We encourage you to book early to ensure the best options and rates.

Rent a car - Highway 1 Classic

Renting a car rather than taking the train will save you a few hours of travel time if you are planning on extending your trip in California (which we highly encourage!) This would also allow you the flexibility to stop in multiple destinations and access coastal towns the trains can't reach along the way.
