Weekend Schedule

Welcome Dinner

7:15 pm

Nothing formal needed here! Just an outfit you'd wear out to a nice dinner. Hayden will probably wear khakis/slacks and a button up. Kristi will wear a dress.

We know everyone might be a bit weary from completing travel today so this is the first planned "event" for the weekend, and luckily it's just right down the road from the lodge. This dinner is the equivalent of our "Rehearsal" Dinner - minus the rehearsing. We've requested a patio space at the restaurant so will plan to sit outside.

Morning Hike

10:45 am - 12:45 pm

Hiking attire

We thought it would be fun to do a family hike together Friday morning. We've picked an easy trail with great views.

Afternoon Lunch

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Casual

Depending on how the morning's adventures go, we'll either plan a light lunch back at the cabin or grab a bite out together.

Ceremony

4:15 pm

We'll be at an overlook just off a hiking trail so no need for formal attire. Dress comfortably, potentially in church or graduation-level of formal. Hayden will be in a casual linen suit.

Our overlook ceremony site will be right off a public hiking trail. We've reserved the spot from 4-6 PM, though hikers will likely pass along the main trail while we're there. The Sapphire Point Overlook is about a 5 minute easy hike/walk so plan shoes accordingly. We'll have chairs or benches available for you during our short ceremony. After the ceremony, we'll take advantage of our picturesque spot and cut and enjoy our small wedding cake as a family. We will have a photographer and organizer who will be with us along with the officiant for the ceremony.

Photos

4:30 pm - 6:45 pm

After the quick ceremony, we'll take a few family photos together to remember the special day. Then, H&K will stick around with the photographer to take couple-only photos. We have the photographer for a total of 3 hours, likely from around 3:45-6:45 PM. While H&K are with the photographer, our families will drive back to the lodge to get ready for dinner.

Dinner at Family Lodge

7:30 pm

Ceremony attire

Dinner is scheduled to be served at 7:30 PM. We've booked a private chef to prepare a special 4-course dinner for us after the ceremony. H&K will likely still be with the photographer when he arrives at the lodge to begin dinner preparation. We've made menu selections in advance and will reach out to take individual orders a few weeks before.

Evening Celebration at the Lodge

9:00 pm

After dinner, we'll likely be full and exhausted from a full day! If we have any energy left in us, we'd love to take advantage of the time the last night to hang out and play a few games together as a family.
