We like to say we “college-swapped.” Hayden’s from Logan and went to school in Salt Lake; Jenn’s from Salt Lake and went to school in Logan. Somehow, we had to travel halfway across the world to meet—on a study abroad in Cambodia! From the moment we met, we were instant friends. We wandered through the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, got lost in the colors and chaos of night markets, and shared stories over karaoke and ice cream. One afternoon, while getting spontaneous $3 pedicures, we exchanged numbers—mostly to plan a skydiving trip, but really, it was the start of something much bigger. We stayed close friends over the years, going on hikes and keeping in touch. Then in 2021, instead of just hanging out, Hayden asked Jenn on a date. Since then, we’ve been inseparable. What started as a chance meeting in Cambodia turned into a lifetime love story—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

In 2022, life took an exciting turn—Hayden got into medical school, and Jenn was accepted into a PhD program. But long distance wasn’t easy, and we quickly realized that being together mattered more than anything. Jenn made the leap to move to Vermont, and soon after, started the PhD program there. Since then, we've been chasing big dreams side by side. It's been an adventure filled with snowy winters, sweet maple syrup, and lots of studying—but most of all, love and laughter.
