We met through a dating website called tinder. We both had our dating distance set at 100 miles, but by the grace of God, we matched while Cierra was at her dad’s house in Sardinia, OH. Otherwise, we would have never matched with each other because of the distance. We talked for weeks and FaceTimed every day before meeting in person.

Our first date was at a Red’s game in Cincinnati. We both questioned whether or not we could make the distance work, and agreed to take it day by day. Hayden asked me if I liked baseball and then asked me to go out on a date with him. The rest is history!

Hayden knew he wanted to propose on a long weekend trip to Washington, DC but was unsure of where he wanted to do it. We happened to be in DC during the famous Cherry Blossom Festival, but he couldn’t find a spot he really liked. On the second day of the trip, Hayden proposed in front of the reflecting pool at the Capitol.
