I was at a bar called Broney's in Athens during my freshman year (whoops hehe). I was out with a group of mutual friends and one of my friends Zach said "hey, come to the window with me so we can look and say hi to my friend in line". I walked over to the window with him to say hi to his friend, and little did I know I was looking at my future husband! I looked at Zach and said "dang your friend is CUTE, I want to talk to him". When Austin came inside, I introduced myself and we both instantly hit it off. As we began seeing each other more and more after this within the weeks after, I remember looking at Austin while we were hanging out in my dorm room and thinking, I have this really good feeling about him and it was something I had never felt before. Fast forward to when we had been dating for 6 months and Austin was visiting me in Columbus to celebrate, he told me he knew that he wanted to marry me. This made me so excited for us but I was also so nervous because we were only 19 and 20 at the time. After a few years went by, I finally graduated from OU and moved back to Columbus with Austin. By this time, I was waitingggg for him to propose already LOL. We planned out first long trip to go to Destin, FL for a week and then Nashville, TN. We were in Destin on March 4th 2024, walking on the beach and sat on rocks to take pictures together and Austin proposed. I said YESSSS and cried for 2 hours after because I was so excited to marry him!! I had no idea he was proposing and in that moment of saying yes when he proposed, I had that same feeling I did when we were hanging out in my dorm room, and knew it was because I was going to marry the love of my life! We are SO excited to start the next chapter of our lives, and can't wait to celebrate with you all as Austin and Hayden Koska!
